Located on the edge of the fascinating Old Quarter of Hanoi, the Hanoi Lakeside Hotel is in quiet and shady Hang Hanh street, less than a two minute stroll from the beautiful lake Hoan Kiem. The area is served by major banks, including the international HSBC and ANZ, and nearby are many fine cafes and restaurants. We also provide foreign exchange into dong for major currencies at our desk, charging no commission and giving the same rates as the banks. Our friendly desk staff are well trained and all speak English. They can help you with anything from advice about here to eat to calling you a taxi or arranging a tour or onward travel. We have 18 rooms, all with en-suite toilet and shower, furnished in a delightful traditional Vietnamese manner. Each room is equipped with a refrigerator, fan and reverse-cycle air-conditioner, cable LCD TV, Wi-Fi Internet access, telephone and a safe. Some rooms have views over the lake and others views across the street. Some have balconies. A lift (elevator) serves all floors and Internet computers are located in the lobby. TRAVEL SERVICES: · Tickets for the famous Water Puppet theatre - a MUST SEE in Hanoi. The theatre is a five minute stroll from the hotel. · Tours to Halong Bay (another MUST SEE) and Sapa in the mountains. We also offer day tours of Hanoi City and to Hoa Lu Tam Coc and the Perfume Pagoda. · VISA application and extensions · Trains/air ticket booking. · Buses to Laos and Saigon. · Russian Jeep, motorbike & bicycle rental. We have recently taken management of the Hanoi Lakeside Hotel.
