Joops Hotel is situated in the historic centre of Haarlem, at the foot of the imposing Grote of St. Bavokerk. The main building of the hotel boasts a stunning array of antiques from all over the world. Around the corner of the main building you will be able to find the hotel its annex, “The Arendshoek” (literally translated The Eagles Nest), where you will be able to find additional apartments and hotel rooms. The Arendshoek was completely renovated in April of 2006 and now boasts Twin Studios (2 guests) en Triple and Quadruple Studios which all feature their own kitchenette. In our bar “De Gouverneur” (The Governor), a popular destination for hotel guests and outside guests alike since the beginning of time, you will be able to enjoy a friendly and warm ambiance whilst having a small bite to eat or savoring, among others, one of the many authentic Dutch and Belgium beers on tap. Haarlem offers many different sights and interesting places to visit. In the vicinity of the hotel you will be able to find many diferent museums and places of interest. The Frans Hals Museum, the Corry Ten Boom house, and the Teylers Museum (the oldest museum in the country) are all in walking distance from the hotel. Also the many different Hofjes are a pleasure to visit on a nice day. If shopping is your thing, Haarlem is also a great destination. Haarlem has been chosen Best Shopping City in the country and you will be able to spend as much or as little as you like in all the different shops. Haarlem is also the perfect starting location for many different excursions. The Kennemerduinen National Park is just a short bus or bicylcle ride away, and also the beach (Zandvoort / Bloemendaal) is just around the corner.
