The Casa de Madrid presents a new form of travel for Spain. It is this county´s equivalent to the charming British bed&breakfast. Each guest enjoys the sensation of being in a beautiful private home with all the services of a fine hotel. The modern comforts are incorporated in an unobtrusive way. It is located on the second floor of an 18th century building in front of the Royal Opera House and next to the Royal Palace. The Casa de Madrid is composed of: one suite, four special double rooms, one double room and a single room, all of them with a bath. Each room is a spatial souvenir invoking memories of beauty and nostalgia of different cultures. The living room features a roman fresco while others spaces speak of India, Greece and Syria all of them painted by Donna Claudia Sanfelice di Monteforte. Each one of them is furnished with magnificent antiques which gives to the house an incredibly elegant and aristocratic character. This versatility allows her guests to experience a different ambience each time they return. Access to the Casa de Madrid is exclusive. It is reserved for guests and their friends, so as to preserve the particular serenity that characterizes the few houses in Madrid still in use.
