The Catalonia Albinoni*** hotel stands in a privileged location in the centre of Barcelona, only a few metres from Paseo de Gracia and very close to Las Ramblas, the hotel is situated on a pedestrian avenue with a wide variety of shops and boutiques that connects Plaza Catalunya with the entrance to the Gothic Quarter. It is a pleasure to enter the Catalonia Albinoni and admire its Neoclassical beauty. The building has been added to the Artistic Heritage catalogue of the city. Pedro Bassegoda i Mateu built this small palace in 1876, and in 1998 it opened its doors as a hotel. The hotel still preserves its original Neoclassical faï¿½ade which features Romantic and Baroque motifs. The entry hall, which would be large enough to let in the carriages from the beginning of the century, leads us to the interior courtyard that has been renovated according to the original model. The hotel reception and bar are currently in this courtyard. There we can admire the original marble staircase, typical of the finest houses of those times. All rooms are carefully decorated and equipped with air conditioning, minibar, direct dial telephone, interactive satellite TV with pay-per-view movies, Canal +, safe deposit box and complete marble bathroom with a hair dryer. Enjoy our breakfast buffet served under a unique marquee in the hotel garden patio. Our new exterior swimming pool will be probably available from June 20Th. Enjoy its overflowing waterfall, as well as the exterior solarium with wood surface and a landscaped zone with palms. A new restaurante is now open at Catalonia Albinoni. Have a nice dinner at El Jardí de l’Angel and enjoy our tasteful Catalan cuisine. Openning hours: From 13.00 to 16.00 and from 20.00 to 23.00.
