Also overlooking the Formosa Estuary is the Laguna Bar, an elegant piano bar which affords patrons the opportunity to enjoy an evening cocktail or long drink while contemplating the marvellously memorable sunset.

The Brisa do Mar Restaurant affords diners magnificent views over the Formosa Estuary and the beach, which can be enjoyed either in indoor comfort or from the splendid open-air terrace. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu features traditional Portuguese specialities and international dishes, carefully prepared by Chef Gerhard Pölzl. The daily selection of fresh fish dishes includes specialities such as “Fresh Fish in a Salt Crust”, “Rice with Seafood” and the famous “Algarvean Cataplana”. Pride of place on the dessert menu goes to the “Apple Crumble and Strudel” or, for the more weight-conscious, the delicious “Low-calorie Chocolate and Raspberry Tart”.

The Cá d' Oro, serving fine Italian cuisine in elegant surroundings, is open for dinner only. In winter, diners may savour the marvellous delicacies in a romantic atmosphere by the light of the fire, whilst summertime meals are best enjoyed in moonlight on the open-air terrace. Favourite dishes on the menu include the delicious risottos and the “Traditional Taglierini Verde Cá d´oro”, one of the house specialities, which continues to delight diners season after season. Cá d’Oro’s offers dishes such as “Fillet of Gilt-head Bream with Tiger Prawns” and “Suckling Veal Chops with Grilled Vegetables”. The dessert menu naturally features the famous “Tiramisu” and the delicious “Crème Brûlée”, whilst the “Pear Ravioli Stuffed with Cottage Cheese and Raisins”, is sure to surprise those who are tempted to try a more original dessert. The hotel’s wine list is particularly noteworthy for the variety of wines featured and the frequent new additions, meaning that diners who enjoy wine with their meal can always find something new and surprising.

There are two outdoor swimming pools, for adults and children respectively and a wonderful jacuzzi overlooking the Ria Formosa. The Quinta do Lago beach is one of most exclusive beaches in the Algarve; located a short walk from the hotel this sandy beach is a haven for sunbathers. Set in the heart of the Ria Formosa Natural Park visitors may enjoy the bird watching and natural flora of the Lagoon as they walk to the beach. During the summer guests may enjoy our private beach club which offers towels, lounge chairs, beach umbrellas, water and fresh fruit. If you wish you may also visit other nearby beaches such as the Ancão, Vale do Garrão or the Vale do Lobo beaches.

The exclusive Quinta do Lago Hotel spa has 4 massage rooms, a gymnasium, a heated indoor pool with counter-current and massage jets, a Turkish bath and a sauna.
