From the Airport Reina Sofia you follow the highway TF-1 (autopista del sur) to Santa Cruz. Just before Santa Cruz you turn off TF -5 ( conexión: autopista del norte) to Puerto de la Cruz. You leave this highway at exit ( salida) 33. You follow the sign La Orotava, P.N. del Teide uphill. On the left side you can see a fountain ( 1 ) . You follow the street uphill and turn off right by the first possibility ( 2 ) . You follow this street, which bends a little bit to the left ( 3 ) and leads directly to the historical part of the town.
