The charming Hampshire Hotel – Paping, is situated near the train station and within walking distance from the town centre. The large garden of the hotel is adjacent to the centuries old ‘Laer forest, where you can enjoy the lovely nature. The ‘Overijssels Vechtdal’ (‘Vecht valley’?) is a unique area full of variation. You will find small picturesque villages, forests and heaths and centuries old farms and castles. There are hundreds of kilometres with magnificent cycle routes and walks waiting for you. When you do not prefer to go on all these long cycle routes and walks, you can also enjoy nature in the beautiful gardens of Mien Ruis and Ada Hofman. Less than 3 kilometers from the hotel, adjacent to the ‘Ommer forest’, you will find the golf course of ‘Golf & Country Club Hooge Graven’. They have an 18 holes competition course (A-status), a 9 holes Par-3 course, a partly indoor driving range, a putting green and a chipping green with practice part.
